|Day 3:||Enjoy breakfast with a view at a local coffee plantation nearby Antigua and of course relish in the famed Guatemalan coffee bean! Coffee is one of our major exports. We are known to have some of the best coffee in the world. Spend the morning, learning about coffee, its history, cultivation, and processing from seed to roasted bean. Let your senses be tickled with a typical Guatemalan cuisine for lunch of our recommendations. |Day 4:||Following breakfast, your private guide will take you to one of Guatemala’s most vibrant and colorful markets, Chichicastenango where all of Guatemala meets to sell their wares. After lunch, check into the stunning and classical Hotel Atitlán, Lake Atitlán. National Geographic rated our lake as the most beautiful in the world, you will not be disappointed. |Day 5:||What a blessing! Enjoy another amazing Guatemalan breakfast or your choice of American selection. With your private guide, visit several small Mayan villages surrounding Lake Atitlán by boat. You will have lunch at one of these picturesque villages to get a feel for this magical place and home to many Indigenous communities as well as expatriates from around the world. |Day 6:||After breakfast, en route to Iximché, appreciate Guatemala’s wonderland of green landscapes. The day will continue as we arrive back to Antigua Guatemala. |Day 7:||With your boxed breakfast in tow, your private transfer will collect you from your accommodation and deliver you to Guatemala City Airport. Safely and on time you will board the early morning flight and head north to Flores. In the jungle region of Petén, swim and purify in the stunning subaquatic garden and lagoon, Cráter Azul. Enjoy a picnic lunch. Your home for the next few evenings will be at La Lancha nestled on the banks of Lake Petén Itzá. |Day 8:||Begin your day exploring the Mayan ruins of the City of Tikal as her majestic pyramids peep over Guatemala’s tropical Petén jungle on a sunrise exploration.
