Itinerary

             
Day 1: Welcome to Guatemala! Private transport will deliver you to the Spanish Colonial capital of Antigua Guatemala. Check into The Good Hotel and decompress into your new settings. Wander onto the cobblestones, admire the volcanic backdrops, colonial architecture, and prepare for the sunset hour views. Day 2: Breakfast begins a la carte or to our suggestion with “El Típico”, and to our global palate, the most complete breakfast on earth. Your private guide will take you on a walking tour of our beautiful colonial city. You will be entertained with Antigua Guatemala’s history, politics, restoration efforts and stories of centuries past. In the afternoon you will have an entertaining Guatemalan culinary workshop experience. Day 3: Enjoy your delicious and famed Guatemalan coffee and breakfast at your leisure. Today you will have an immersive Guatemalan textiles experience and learn how to make your very own colorful and fashionable textile item. If you prefer, you also have the option of choosing from our selection of artisan workshop experiences such as Mayan Jade and Mayan Cacao. In the afternoon meander around the cobblestones, before finding yourself at Hotel Casa Santo Domingo SPA for a relaxing massage in the old convent and remodeled monastery ruins. Day 4: Following breakfast, your private guide will take you to one of Guatemala’s most vibrant and colorful markets, Chichicastenango. After lunch, check into the stunning and classical Hotel Atitlán, Lake Atitlán. National Geographic rated our lake as the most beautiful in the world, you will not be disappointed. Use the free afternoon to explore the hotel gardens, relax poolside with a view or explore the town of Panajachel, the old playground of the 60s hippy era. Meals: B, L Lake Atitlán
Day 5: What a blessing! Enjoy another amazing Guatemalan breakfast or your choice of American selection. With your private guide, visit several small Mayan villages surrounding Lake Atitlán by boat. You will have lunch at one of these picturesque villages to get a feel for this magical place and home to many Indigenous communities as well as expatriates. Day 6: Enjoy a typical Guatemalan breakfast or American selection. Today you will participate in a cacao workshop and get your hands deep in the chocolate. Chocolate lovers are never disappointed and cacao is very strongly linked to our Mayan heritage. Use the rest of the day to relax and explore in leisure Panajachel’s corners and textiles and handicrafts market on Calle Santander. Meals: B Lake Atitlán
Day 7: After breakfast, en route to the Mayan ruins of Iximché, appreciate Guatemala’s wonderland of green landscapes. Your private guide will take you on a personalized tour through the grounds of this ancient ceremonious land. Experience a heart warming Mayan ritual with a Shaman and feel our Mayan ancestry come alive. The day will continue as we arrive back to Antigua Guatemala and check into The Good Hotel.
